- Ledgra works offline. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours.
- Your business profile, clients, invoices, estimates, payments, logo and signature are stored only on your device. We never see them and never upload them.
- The only data that leaves your device is what the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google Play Billing collect to show ads and process purchases, under Google's own policies and your consent choices.
- Backups are files you create yourself, encrypted with a passphrase only you know, saved to a location you choose.
1. Data you enter into the app
Everything you type into Ledgra — business name, address, phone, email, tax ID, logo, signature, clients and their contact details, items and prices, invoices, estimates, payments, notes and terms — is saved in a local database and files inside the app's private storage on your device.
- We do not have access to this data.
- It is not transmitted to Nainnie Labs or to any third party by the app.
- It is not used for advertising or analytics.
- It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app's storage (see "Deleting your data").
When you share an invoice, receipt or statement, the app hands the PDF to the app you choose (WhatsApp, an email app, a printer, a file manager…). From that point the PDF is governed by that app's privacy policy, not ours.
2. Data we do not collect
Ledgra does not use analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or any form of tracking of your activity inside the app. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, financial account numbers, or the contents of your documents.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Ledgra shows ads served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To do this, Google may collect and process:
- The advertising ID of your device (a resettable identifier), and related device information such as model, OS version, language, screen size, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions.
- Information described in Google's policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the AdMob privacy documentation.
Ad formats used: rewarded ads (which you choose to watch to unlock a feature), interstitial ads after an export, native ads in lists, and app-open ads. No ad is required to create, send or get paid for an invoice.
Your choices
- Where the law requires it (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform before any ad request. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
- Purchasing Remove ads or Ledgra Pro removes all ads, and the ads SDK is no longer initialised.
4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details; the app never sees your card or bank information. The app only stores a local flag that says which product you own so it can unlock features and stay ad-free offline. Google's processing is described in the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
5. Contacts
If you tap Import from contacts, the app asks for the Contacts permission and opens the system contact picker. It reads the name, phone number and email of the single contact you pick and copies them into a client record on your device. The app never reads your whole address book, never uploads contacts anywhere, and works fully without this permission.
6. Notifications
If you keep due-date reminders on, the app runs a daily local check and may show a notification for invoices that are due soon or newly overdue. This happens entirely on your device. On Android 13 and later you will be asked for the Notifications permission first; you can turn reminders off in Settings.
7. Backups
Creating a backup produces a single .ledgra file containing your database, logo and signature, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a passphrase you choose. The file is written only to the location you pick (for example Google Drive, an SD card or your Downloads folder). We cannot open or recover a backup without your passphrase, and we never receive the file. Restoring a backup replaces the data on the device you restore to.
8. App lock
If you enable the app lock, your PIN is stored on the device as a salted hash. Biometric unlock uses Android's built-in BiometricPrompt; the app never sees your fingerprint or face data.
9. Security
Your data stays inside the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read on a non-rooted device. Backups are encrypted as described above. Because the data lives only on your device, keeping a recent backup is the only way to protect against loss or theft of the phone.
10. Deleting your data
- To delete everything: uninstall Ledgra, or clear the app's storage from Android Settings → Apps → Ledgra.
- To delete individual clients, items, invoices or payments: use the delete actions inside the app.
- Backup files you created remain where you saved them; delete them yourself if you no longer want them.
- Advertising data held by Google is subject to Google's retention policies and your Google ad settings.
11. Children
Ledgra is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Third-party SDKs in the app
| SDK | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and User Messaging Platform | Ads and ad consent | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | In-app purchases | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play In-App Updates / In-App Review | Update and review prompts through Google Play | policies.google.com/privacy |
No other network-facing SDK is included.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's update notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
