Markly: Photo Watermark ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by Nainnie Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.

The short version: Markly is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect your photos, and we do not upload your images to any server. Watermarking happens locally on your phone.

1. Information we do not collect

2. Permissions we use

Photo/media access. Used only to let you select images to watermark and to save the finished, watermarked image back to your device (via Android's Photo Picker or Media Store). We do not access any files beyond what you explicitly select or save.

Storage (older Android versions, if applicable). Used solely to save your watermarked images to your gallery.

3. Advertising

Markly is primarily supported by advertising, provided through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data — such as advertising identifiers, device information, and general usage data — to show ads and measure ad performance. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly.

For users in regions covered by GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before showing personalized ads. You can manage or withdraw your ad consent at any time from within the app's settings.

You can learn more about how Google uses this data here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

4. In-app purchase ("Remove Ads")

Markly offers an optional, one-time purchase to remove ads. This purchase is processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details — all payment information is handled directly by Google Play. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was completed, which is stored locally on your device to disable ads.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as necessary for:

These third parties operate under their own privacy policies.

6. Data retention

Since we do not collect or store your photos or personal data on our servers, there is no user data retention on our end beyond what is described above (locally stored app settings and preferences, kept only on your device).

7. Children's privacy

Markly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding data collected by third-party services (like Google AdMob), including the right to access, delete, or object to processing of your data. Since we do not hold your personal data ourselves, such requests should generally be directed to Google:

myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
