The short version: nothing you type ever leaves your phone. Reword's AI runs fully on-device using Gemini Nano. There is no keystroke logging, no cloud processing of your text, and no account.
What stays on your device
- Everything you type with the keyboard — processed only on-device, never transmitted.
- Rewrite history (the last 100 rewrites you explicitly applied). You can turn history off or delete it at any time in Settings → Delete all data.
- Your settings (theme, keyboard preferences, daily quota counters).
What leaves your device
- Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase): non-content events only, such as which action type was used, latency buckets, and ad decisions. Never the text itself.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Advertising data (Google AdMob, companion app only — the keyboard never shows ads): the ads SDK may process device identifiers per its own policy. You can manage consent in Settings → Manage ads consent.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; we never see your payment details.
Password fields
In password and other secure fields, AI features are disabled entirely and nothing is read or stored.
Data deletion
Settings → Delete all data wipes every preference and your rewrite history from the device. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
